Full-time
August 2021 - December 2022
I coordinated the Terkku project (2020 - 2022), which developed culturally sensitive outreach work for the prevention of non-communicable diseases among immigrants from African and Middle Eastern countries.
Tasks:
I managed and planned the project's budget using the Netvisor financial management software.
I organised the project’s steering group meetings and cooperation forums to liaise with stakeholders, which included the project’s subcontractors as well as organisations with which the project has agreements of intent.
I wrote grant applications and performance reports for the Funding Centre for Social Welfare and Health Organisations.
I arranged the venues, materials, and catering for the project's cooperation forums, experimental outreach course, cultural mediator training, and chronic disease awareness events.
I supervised two interns, for whom I prepared work contracts, agreements on the loan of equipment, and certificates of employment.
Achievements:
I secured extra funding from the Finnish Red Cross for the project's events. This was the result of the interorganisational relationship that I built through my active representation of Moniheli in the Finnish Red Cross' projects and networks.
I organised a campaign in cooperation with the Finnish Red Cross Blood Service. The aim of the campaign was to correct misunderstandings related to blood donation and encourage people of an African background to become repeat donors. I created visual designs using the Canva graphic design platform and shared them on Moniheli's communication channels, through which campaign reached over 200 people.
